“Peterson Creek Park” is a brand-new hiking attraction for Kamloops residents. Visitors may unwind and take in the picturesque magnificence of “Bridal Veil waterfall” as a getaway from their everyday lives. Also, visitors have access to a variety of activities throughout the park’s trail system, including biking, hiking, dog walking, and animal viewing. Mountain bikers may fulfill their hunger for an exhilarating bike ride thanks to the park’s abundance of paths. Sun Peak, on the other hand, is still another thrilling location in Kamloops for lodging and skiing. Also, it offers ski sports, and the trails offer a thrill. Hence, in the “heart of Kamloops”, visitors can enjoy the trailheads from any part of the city. Additionally, people can avail of this place even from Sahali and downtown. The hikers will get different kinds of trail options and can have mesmerizing viewpoints.

Considering the “1400 Glen fair” in the park, a wide range of trailheads can be spotted, such as “Glen fair Drive”, “Chancellor Drive”, “East of summit drive”, etc. The entire place is consisted of off leashes and is under control. As a result, dog lovers can take their dogs to roam around. To add variations, thrill, and excitement, the trails have different sorts of stages, such as easy, difficult, more difficult, very much difficult, excessively difficult, etc. Apart from this, the park has places for a picnic area, and the management of the park provides the parking area to the visitors free of cost. However, at Columbia Street and near “6th Avenue”, visitors can easily plan a short trip to “Peterson Creek Park” (Kamloops, 2019).

The management of the park also provides a good number of benches, small tables, and other essentials so that the visitors cannot get any kind of issues while having a picnic at this spot. It has already been stated that the entire park is ‘dog friendly’ and to maintain the cleanliness at the park, the management of the park provides “poop bag dispensers” to the visitors so that at the starting point of the trail, the dog owners can pick those and use it further for their dogs.

On the other hand, several tips are also can be specified for the hikers who will come and hike at this place. To be more precise, the bottom area of the park is icy, and during excessive snow, the roads become slippery, and going to the waterfall at that time becomes risky. Hence, the bikers should avoid that time for hiking. The best time to avail of this place is the warm weather because, during this time, the visitors can get the trails dry (Bates, 2020). Additionally, the hikers should dress properly to avoid any kind of risk.

Furthermore, some hikers prefer to hike at “Peterson Creek Park” during snowy weather. In this aspect, hikers who are experienced and very much careful only should go hiking. The hiking to the park starts from the “Siyeh Bend Trailhead” which is located 2.2 miles far from the eastern part of the “logan pass”. The following trail will take the visitors to the “sun road”. Additionally, the hikers can go to the “Piegan pass trailhead” and reach this place, the hikers need to hike from the “Jackson glacier”. However, due to the feature of a gradual climb in the “Siyah bend trail”, the hikers prefer to avail that trail more than other trails.

The visitors or the hikers can avail of the “spruce-fir-forest” through the junction of the “Siyah pass trail”. It is located approx. 2.7 miles far from the “trailhead”. However, the hikers who will willing to reach “Peterson Park” can take the right from the “Siyah pass trail”. Approaching the trails, the hikers can have a view of “Marahpi peak” at the south at an altitude of 9365 feet. Additionally, on this path, the hikers may enjoy the view of “Piegan mountain” from the west and also can have the mountain view from the “pyramid-shaped heavy runner mountain” at the southwest point. At “Peterson Park”, the bears are seen very frequently so while going through that path, the bikers are needed to carry “bear spray” or can hike in a group by doing many noises so that the bear will not come nearer to them (Hiking in glaciers, 2022).

Furthermore, another mind-blowing mesmerizing travel destination in Columbia is “Sun Peak”. To be more precise, if a person shows his desire to say at Kamloops so he can definitely stay at the “Sun Peak”. However, in this place, the visitor can get the chance to intrigue the “second largest ski area” in entire Canada. Besides, the visitors can get through the “BC’s interior light”, “dry snow”, “13 lifts” and “137 trails”. Apart from this, to explore more, the visitors can ski into the village of “Sun peak”. Hence, a wide range of winter sports is also available at this place (Kamloops, 2023).

The resorts are available to stay in the “Sun peak”. The resorts provide the equipment for rent and also come up with sessions of skiing for different aged people so that people from all ages can enjoy the ski at this place. However, they can have a gears jacket which will cost around $296, especially for the purpose of skiing. It will take only 45 minutes to reach the place so people can enjoy their weekend or can plan a short vacation at this place.

The two locations described above are easily bookable by readers or guests who want to take advantage of the wintertime sky and snow rides. However, they are required to uphold the safety measures that are also listed in the article. Bikers in particular may experience the excitement of driving across the trails at both locations.
