About TRU’s Journalism 2060

JOUR 2060 – Introduction to Multimedia

50+

STUDENT EXPERIENCES PER SEMESTER

Each semester students from all sections of Journalism 2060 come together to write content for this website. In groups divided by topic, the students acting as journalists create articles and media.

This course blends media theory and methods to explore the connection between nonfictional journalistic storytelling and professional media and social media-making practice.

Students have opportunities to apply new learnings to projects ranging from audio interviews, article writing and layout, vlogging, and photojournalism using industry tools such as Canva, WordPress, and Adobe suite.

Our Content is Learning in Motion

All content on this site has been written by students currently taking the Journalism 2060 course right here at TRU. On display are their articles, but to give them their moment to shine we’ve created a page with this semester’s authors so you can see who makes up these content creation teams.
