Logan Stankoven – Hometown Hero

Buzz Sports sits down with local NHL prospect Logan Stankoven. Stankoven is the captain of his hometown team, the Kamloops Blazers who play in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Since making his WHL debut in 2018, Stankoven has spent five successful seasons in the league, becoming a standout player.

Stankoven was drafted 47th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Dallas Stars. Known for his speed, skill, and scoring ability, Stankoven is an all-around threat on the ice. On the international front, he has represented the Maple Leaf multiple times at the World Junior Championships, coming home with two gold medals.

Logan credits his success to his hard work, determination, and continued development as a player. He has been a key contributor for the Blazers this season as they make their final push to claim the 2023 Memorial Cup on home soil.
