Revitalize Your Mind
Why taking study breaks is so important
“Research shows that taking purposeful breaks (anywhere from 5–60 minutes) from studying to refresh your brain and body increases your energy, productivity, and ability to focus.”
Study breaks are the key to a meaningful study session and can help your brain rejuvenate and process what you have just learned
You may be thinking “how can spending less time studying help me with learning more”? Well having a purposeful study break (purposeful meaning not scrolling on your phone or watching t.v) has been shown to improve memory, reduce stress and boost performance and creativity. Some examples of short-period breaks include going for a walk, taking a power nap, making a snack, stretching and many more.
Below me and the wellness team created an infographic to shed some light on the need of having a study break, try it out and the results may surprise you.
